Better Health offers assistance with emergency prescriptions, dental extractions, vision aid and medical travel to clients whose household income falls within 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.
What you will need to bring in for emergency direct aid services:
- A valid ID card for all in the household
- Proof of residence in Cumberland County- 2 pieces of mail such as: utility bill, lease, etc.
- Proof of household income at least a months worth for all - to include pay stubs, social security, disability income and any other income sources.
- If receiving food stamps please provide the award letter with the amount on it
- Proof of appointment date/time (for travel assistance to out of town medical appointments)
*Please note that some medications are not covered. We will be able to evaluate your meds when you arrive.
